Our orense cocoa
Where the excellence of Ecuadorian cocoa is born
In the province of El Oro, Ecuador, cocoa beats with its own identity: it is the land of the historic Nacional-Arriba cocoa, internationally recognized as a fine aroma cocoa for its complex and floral sensory profile. Archaeological studies suggest ancient connections with Palanda, which reinforces the authenticity of the Orense fruit.
At FC Fercholate, knowing this heritage and reality together with our specialists, we collaborate directly with cocoa families who cultivate the seed with respect and tradition. Each bar carries the implicit value of dedication, honesty and detail that defines us as artisan chocolatiers.
From origin to masterpiece
The fertile soil of El Oro gives cocoa its unique character: equatorial sunshine, balanced rainfall and producers who combine traditional techniques with innovation.
At Fercholate, we work closely with local communities to ensure traceability, artisanal fermentation and sun-drying, step by step. Each bean undergoes expert supervision to guarantee purity and superior quality. This is how we transform the collective effort into a bar that expresses the authenticity of Ecuador and the art of chocolate.
The name that honors those who make it happen
Fercholate is more than a name, it is a tribute to the hands that cultivated the cocoa, to the local families who trusted in it and to the value of a job well done.
Our "F" symbolizes strength and family, while "cholate" evokes the transformation of cocoa into pleasure. Each edition directly supports farmers, promoting fair trade and strengthening the rural economy of El Oro. In this way, the name becomes a promise: of origin, quality and commitment.
The Ecuadorian art of chocolate
Each Fercholate piece carries with it the spirit of artistic and natural Ecuador: conscious design, recycled materials and engravings that honor the source of cacao. Our box reflects art, sustainability and elegance, combining the roots of El Oro with a contemporary aesthetic of luxury. This fusion between the rustic and the sophisticated makes us a premium artisanal experience, ideal for those seeking authenticity, exclusivity and connection with the land.
What we wish to preserve
Sustainability: the true luxury of cocoa
We believe that true luxury is in responsibility: that is why each bar supports sustainable agricultural practices, fair trade and environmentally friendly processes. In El Oro, more than 2,500 families work on Nacional-Arriba cocoa plantations, strengthening the rural fabric and peasant culture. We use recyclable packaging, organic inks and biodegradable materials, taking care of the land that gives us life. With Fercholate, origin, community and nature move forward together.
